Thanks to the support of the city of Jacksonville, Onslow County, veterans & the community, Phase One of the Memorial is well underway.  Phase One will include the clearing & grading of the site, all the foundation work for the walls, fountain & gazebo columns, the glass wall panels (with all 58,200+ names), concrete walkways, parking area and basic landscaping.  In future phases (as funds allow) we will complete the operating fountain, add the gazebo canopy, overlay the concrete walkways with granite pavers, add lighting & flagpoles, construct a welcome center and add additional walks & landscaping. 

Our fundraising efforts continue.  As hundreds of Vietnam era vets are dying each day, it is crucial that this memorial be completed as soon as possible. While it will stand forever as a tribute to these heroes, we want as many of the Vietnam Vets as possible to have the opportunity to visit and see that they are not forgotten. 

Fundraising is ongoing to complete the copper dome and erect a visitors center for the memorial gardens. We have several ways that you can help support this memorial.

Sponsor a Panel
While they last, we will be offering the opportunity to sponsor one of the 120+ panels that will comprise the circular walls of the Memorial.  Each panel is aproximately four feet wide and nearly eight feet tall, consisting of an off-white pre-cast base and a nearly one inch thick glass panel inscribed with the names of those who died in Vietnam.   For a $500 (minimum) donation you will not only be supporting this worthy project, but given the chance to dedicate a panel in honor or memory of a person or group of your choice.  Each sponsorship will include a five inch by seven inch custom engraved black marble plaque attached to the base of your panel.  Together these panels will exhibit all 58,200+ names of the men & women from all branches of the Armed Services who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country while serving in Vietnam.
